Ingredients & Sourcing
What's actually in the food?
Human-grade proteins, whole vegetables, and functional add-ins like organ meats and omega-rich oils. No fillers, no preservatives, no mystery meals. Every batch is cooked by hand in our Roswell kitchen.
Where do your ingredients come from?
We source proteins and produce from local Georgia farms and USDA-inspected suppliers whenever possible. If we wouldn’t eat it, we don’t cook with it.
Is the food nutritionally complete?
Yes. Every recipe is formulated with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist and meets or exceeds AAFCO standards for adult maintenance.
Feeding & Transition
How much should I feed my dog?
It depends on weight, age, and activity. Use our feeding calculator for a starting point, then adjust based on your dog’s condition over the first two weeks.
How do I switch my dog to fresh food?
Transition over 7–10 days: start with 25% Gourmutt / 75% current food, then move to 50/50, then 75/25, then 100%. Sensitive stomachs can take longer — that’s normal.
Can I mix Gourmutt with kibble?
Absolutely. Many customers use us as a topper. Even 25% fresh makes a real difference in coat, energy, and stool quality.
Storage & Shelf Life
How long does the food keep?
Sealed in the freezer: up to 6 months. Thawed in the fridge: 4–5 days. We recommend thawing one pack at a time.
Do I need to heat it up?
Not required, but many dogs prefer it slightly warmed. Never microwave in the bag — transfer to a bowl and warm for 10–15 seconds.
Shipping & Pickup
Do you ship?
We ship within Georgia and to select neighboring states in insulated boxes with dry ice. Local Roswell customers can pick up at the bakery Tue–Sat, 10a–6p.
How much is shipping?
Free on orders over $80 within our delivery zone. Below that, a flat cold-shipping fee applies at checkout.
